Upgrades for your characters can be purchased with ARPG points, which are earned by completing artwork or writing related to the world.

TRAITS

10 | Common trait - Adds or changes a common trait on your Canopian. Can also be used to remove any trait.

15 | Uncommon trait - Adds or changes an uncommon trait on your Canopian.

30 | Rare trait - Adds or changes a rare trait on your Canopian.

30 | Common Dye - Adds or changes common and uncommon dyes. Can also be used to remove any dye.

35 | Rare dye - Adds or changes rare dyes.

40 | Fungal dye- Adds simple and small glowing markings (see information here).

50 | Fungal induction - for Ritualists only. Causes eyes to glow a sickly yellow, green, or blue color and palms of hands to constantly glow with the same.

75 | Mutation - Adds any mutation. Mutations cannot be stacked except in special event-only circumstances and are limited to one per Canopian.
Job Classes

Note: Canopians can have multiple classes. You can be both a merchant and High Nobility, for example, or both a Ritualist and a Descender. Nobility can refer to success in your chosen profession as well as social status. Learn more about classes here.

25 | Low Nobility. Earns ability to wear rare accessories.

75 | Ritualist. Earns ability to have Fungal Induction (glowing eyes/hands) and wear rare clothing.

100 | High Nobility. Earns ability to wear rare clothing and large rare accessories, and also ability to purchase second Bird of Paradise (all other Canopians are limited to one each). High nobility get a half price discount on arboreal accessories, wraps, and simple clothing, and also on all songbirds.

100 | Descender. Earns ability to wear large rare accessories, terrestrial headdress. Descenders get a half price discount on terrestrial accessories, wraps, and simple clothing, and also on all Statta.

10 | Additional free animals - Adds any of the freely available pets (gecko, songbird, or silksquirrel). Please purchase once for each additional pet.

20 | Statta - One Statta, fully tamed and capable of assisting in hunting or acting as a companion or comfort animal. Can be trained to do simple tricks.

100 | Bird of Paradise - Please see the Bird of Paradise page for more info. Limit one per Canopian except for High Nobility, who can own up to two.
ACCESSORIES

10 | Arboreal Accessory - Adds optional accessory made from materials available freely in the trees: fiber, cloth, wood, plants, seed pots, bones, insect shells, feathers (besides Bird of Paradise plumes), etc. Should not fully cover your Canopian but can be any size. For actual clothing, see below. Piercings fall under this category and are made of bone or polished wood.

10 | Wraps - Fiber wraps in natural colors for hands, feet, tails, limbs, or other parts of the body. Can mimic bandages and be bloodstained. Tail wraps should leave both crest and tip of tail exposed and cannot be used to mimic tufted or unusual tail types. Head wraps should leave crests at least partially exposed.

30 | Simple clothing - Fiber clothing in natural colors including cloaks, pochos, robes, scarves, hoods, etc. Should not fully cover the body. Sheer fabric is not available except in very small quantities (smaller than the face). Larger sheer fabric pieces would qualify as rare clothing.

50 | Rare accessories - Stone, clay, or otherwise terrestrial accessories. Should be modest in size for all but High Nobility and Descenders, who can wear large terrestrial accessories. Available only to all Nobility, Descenders, and Ritualists. Please remember that metal does not exist.

50 | Terrestrial headdress - A headdress (should have visible clothing parts attaching it to body) that includes horns or antlers. Available to Descenders only.

50 | Rare clothing - Sheer silken clothing or clothing with rich embroidery. Can fully cover the body if desired. Available to High Nobility and Ritualists only.

50 | Bird of Paradise plume - A large and majestic feather from a Bird of Paradise, which can be half as long as a Canopian’s body at times. Available in any color that Birds of Paradise are available in, although some unscrupulous traders also provide them dyed strange hues and claim they are rarities. Should include the Bird of Paradise false eye.
