WHAT CAN I DO?

You can make a starter Canopian immediately, no requirements! You can see more info about Starter Canopians here including where to submit them for approval. There is no masterlist, and you’re welcome to start playing them as soon as they’re approved. We won’t ask for edits to your concept unless they are very, very against the rules of the world--we’ll just ask you to make notes of adjustments in the description of your deviation where your Canopian is posted, and address them in future artwork.

You can draw your Canopian in whatever style you want, and simplify their design if you so choose for artwork! All we ask for writers is that they adhere to the spirit of the lore and don’t invent anything crazy--you can make up what kind of normal bug your Canopian is hunting today, but we just ask you not to invent anything magical, monstrous, or murderous. Please keep the Canopy a comfortable place to play for everyone. For more info, see our community guidelines.

As you play with your Canopian you’ll earn points you can spend on upgrades, job classes (for more opportunities!), and even more characters. You’re welcome to earn the points at your own pace! There is no activity requirement. There is a scoring system but we choose to trust players to judge their own work fairly, and simply ask that you do not cheat. To this end there is a daily limit of points you can earn. Other than that we will not quibble with scoring unless it is a blatant attempt to ‘game the system.’ You can learn more about upgrades in the Item Shop and about earning new Canopians on the MYO page. New Canopians are available for purchase from @rejamrejam and from assorted guest artists and staff members on a spontaneous basis!

You can trade your Canopians and sell them. For more info on selling Canopians, see this page. Trades are freely open and you do not need to seek staff approval for them, but for your own security we recommend publicly logging the transaction in a visible place--on toyhou.se or in a dA description, for example.
